MEET MORE OF OUR TEAM
Marian is based out of the Mid-Atlantic Regional office in her hometown of Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. She grew up hiking the A.T., kayaking local creeks and rivers, and caving in the limestone rich Cumberland Valley. She contributes these early outdoor experiences and encouraging mentors, as the primary influences which led her to a career in the natural sciences.
Marian feels strongly about fostering similar interests in today’s youth and enjoys working with community scientists and partners to steward the resources of the Appalachian Trail. In her free time Marian serves on the Board of the Mid-Atlantic Invasive Plant Council and as a volunteer Leave No Trace State Advocate. She received her B.S. in Biology from Juniata College and her Master’s in Ecology from the State University of New York Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF).
